Aye Now there be our ever efficient Andy, does the walk FIRST, gettin’ rid of the calories so as to make room for the new calories that will replace them, comin’ from the pint.Well done Andy lad,and now you’re all good and fit for a Pint……Maybe even TWO?
Smythe broke the 4th wall a reasonable amount of the time, but much less often than the current team does, and for much better reasons. With this lot, it so often seems like they’re merely patting themselves on the back after a weak gag. It often detracts instead of adding to the effect. (I wonder when was the last time we saw Andy riding his bike? He used to do it quite often.)
Walking to use calories is one reason, but walking to help stay fit is a better reason. Beer is many people’s bread. And wine is taken at breakfast by fishermenn all over the Mediterranean Sea.
I was 14 years old. My older brother said to me: “The Japs bombed Pearl Harbor,” To which I replied “Where’s Pearl Harbor?” We heard all about it on the radio. There was no TV then. I remember the family gathering around the radio to hear President Roosevelt deliver his famous “A day that will live in infamy” speech. My brother later joined the Marines and served mostly aboard ship in the Pacific. He came home safely after the war.
About a week or so later we could see films about it on news reels at the local movie houses.

Since swimming is even better, Andy’s frequent canal escapades will extend it even further.

I’m not a fan of walking but I do walk for a full 45 minutes before I donate blood.
It can’t escape my body fast enough when it enters the blood bag!
