Over the year’s thousands of US liberals have self-deported to Canada because of the commercialization of our culture. They found it is the same there as it is in most of the world. Some left to live in a country free of discrimination but found that if you are English speaking you were discriminate in the French speaking provenances and if you were French speaking you were discriminated in the English speaking provinces. They found that the Native Canadian were still fighting for their rights.
The moral of the story is that you should be careful what you wish for. You may get it and it might be worse.
