Somewhere some deranged Trump-Humper is being just like Winslow and is deluding himself into thinking Trump’s gonna go down the chimney to bring his broken promises as gifts.

The tortuous byways some people will travel in order to make political statements is truly astounding.

On another note, one that actually has to do with the strip, yes, we have now arrived at the point in our uncivilization where “gifts” have become “my stuff.” How utterly joyless.

The crazy leftists – or is that redundant? – think Israel is the font of evil in the world, as evidenced by our President’s action (or actually, his more typical “inaction”) yesterday.

I am a never-Trumper, but unlike the leftists I am smart enough to see that his appointments, even excluding Treasury and Commerce, will be a general reversal of the moribund “new normal” democrat-led economy.

WInslow waiting for Santa. Vladimir and Estragon waiting for Godot. Corky St. Clair waiting for Guffman Lou Reed waiting for his man. What a waste of time. No wonder Ray Davies said he was tired of waiting for you. But as Townes van Zandt and John Maynard Keynes warned us, in the long run, we are all just waiting around to die.
