Yes, Dave is correct. In the Baptist denomination, the church’s spiritual leader is called either “Reverend” or “Pastor”. As an ordained minister, I can tell you that all Protestant ministers are referred to as “Reverend” and prefer the title of “Pastor” only when they are hired to head up a church.
