Lottie does have a point. If there’s really no interest, then better to nip it in the bud now rather than humor him and string him along for something that isn’t going to work out.
And Lottie was…fairly…polite about turning him down too. Maybe she could’ve been a bit less blunt about it, but she also could’ve done it a lot worse too.
That all said, I do wonder if that’ll really be the end of the matter. Colm seems to have a funky view of the world like Lottie, so I think they’d get along better than Lottie seems to think.
