It reminds me of a story I heard from an elderly couple. He was a doctor, she was a nurse. She insisted he start shaving his armpits because it was unsanitary. He did it because he loved her.
After a month of dealing with razor burn, ingrown hairs and the joy of applying deodorant to newly shorn flesh, he told her he refused to continue the practice and further more, he did not require that she shave because it was damned uncomfortable!
US women were conditioned to believe shaving underarms and legs was necessary by advertising in the early 20th century -when Gillette created a whole new market for their safety razors.

Ladies let it grow. Remind the men you have hair on those legs too. You weren’t born with hairless lower extremities.

I used to not shave my legs in the winter either, until I developed health problems. Embarrassing to have my hair legs on display.

Liv is always cold in the house so why is she in short sleeve pyjamas? I’d expect flannel and a bed jacket!!
