This has nothing to do with anything, but just for the record, Hemingway always wrote in longhand while standing at an old-fashioned office clerk’s desk. Thank you.
I own a book STORIES FOR MEN copyright, 1936. Then United States was a Second Class country. Europe was top dog. Thirty-five different writers are in the book and they all reflected the attitude of Americans then. That attitude was UNDERDOG. One of those stories is THE UNDEFEATED by, Earnest Hemingway. In 2017 the United States is top dog. Uneasy sits our crown:(

<i?“Hemingway always wrote in longhand while standing at an old-fashioned office clerk’s desk.” What did the old fashioned clerk use for a desk?
