Meanwhile, some of our students have commented on a discrepancy between the satellite photos of two days ago showing the train entering the desert southwest and the last two with the ārattlerā still in forest country. Our research department has been studying this curious āboomerangā effect of time displacement that many of our alumni experience from time to time. There are currently no working theories for the phenomenon, but we do try to prepare our students for the effect as best we can. Back to the ordeal, had the kid hopped off in the forest, it is possible she might have been able to forage for nuts, berries and other items to keep hunger at bay. We do not require such survival skills for graduation (as most of our graduates tend to work in urban settings), but we make them available if desired. We are, however, rather selective as to who we hire to teach these techniques; Euell Gibbonsā brief period in the early ā70s as part of our faculty ā teaching students which parts of a pine tree are edible, among other things ā is still deeply engraved in the minds of some of our instructorsā¦
