B.D: I'm bored. That's more like it. Voice from television: Today house minority leader John Rhodes announced he would be seeking a Congressional resolution calling for stronger White House leadership. Citing polls which show a crisis in public confidence in President Carter, Rhodes said he would be moving the resolution through committee as soon as his schedule permits... conceding some dissension among fellow Republicans over the wording of the resolution, Rhodes predicted bipartisan support if it were endorsed by enough special interest groups. However, the resolution is expected to meet some resistance from the Democratic leadership, which is split over whether to call for more decisive leadership or more courageous leadership. Trouble is also expected on the floor, where the call for greater White House leadership is likely to be amended with calls for water projects in several key Congressional districts. Vacationing Congressmen could not be reached for comment.
