As a baby, he hasn’t developed any muscle memory yet. By the time he see the ball, process that he has seen it, decided he wants to try to hit it, thought about how he wanted to hit it, and then swung the paddle, the ball is already gone.
Don’t worry, Dougie. At least you’ve knocked your sock and shoe outta the park (so to speak).
