I owe many of you an explanation for this one. Playing off a local attraction here in South Austin. The “I love you so much” inscription on the side of Jo’s Coffee has become an attraction in and of itself, and a popular spot for photos. Google “I love you so much Austin” to see the original. It became a landmark overnight, and has inspired several knock-offs and variations, now including this cartoon. (Maybe you had to be here.)
I used to live in Austin, up until 2008. I went to several rock shows at the Continental Club back at that time, which was not too far from Jo’s. I don’t think I ever went to Jo’s, though, and I don’t remember seeing the mural. They don’t have a Jo’s in Japan.
