Brevity by Dan Thompson for January 31, 2017

Bruno… thanks for welcoming me back yesterday….

I hadn’t actually gone anywhere.

I do my posting very late at night….

but sometimes I fall asleep; other times I try to make myself go to bed at a more normal time.

Other times I look at Brevity and you know, I just have nothing.

Like tonight….

What can I say?

I mean, at first I think it’s going to be a great pun….

then I see it’s merely the letters “S-u-l-t-a-n” put inside another word…..

does that make the resultant joke funny?

It’s like thinking you’re going to get a chocolate chip cookie and then finding out the “chips” are only sultanas.

I’m not trying to insult an artist….

just saying it’s hard to come up with anything to post….

Well, he’s certainly not a pro-sultan.

Well, have you tried to do a cartoon that wasn’t based on the first lame not-a-pun that popped into your head? Even the tiger’s bored.
