Nobody's going to laugh, Louie.. No one's going to judge you.. And I will allow no photographs. You know what? I'll carry him if his feet get cold. He obviously doesn't want to where the dog booties. Okay, sounds like I have one ally out there.

Some years back, my lab got a bad cut on his paw while we were 4 miles into the woods, cross country skiing in deep snow. I pressed one gauze pad after another onto the wound, and my last pad finally stopped the bleeding. I wrapped the gauze in several rounds of tape and finally let the dog get up. He took two steps, looked down at the bandage, grabbed it in his teeth, pulled it off, and spit it out. He left a blood spot in the snow with every step for 4 miles. I was worried sick the entire way back, the dog had a great time and never even gave the wound a thought. No boots for Louie.

These booties were made for walking, and that’s just what they’ll do. One of these days these booties are gonna walk all over you.
Good morning, Crew!

My golden retriever had a lot of longish hair between his foot pads. If it snowed, the snow would mat up in that hair and form ice balls. If i had lived in an area with alot of that type of weather, I probably would have done the “bootie” thing.
