Ellie: As much as I hate to admit it, Howard's right: our biggest problem is other women. Many women feel that ERA represents a threat to family life and the traditional marriage. ERA has put them on the defensive, made them feel insecure about homemaking. Jeanie: I know what you mean. My Mom used to say she was a housewife. Now she says she's just a housewife. Ellie: That's a very astute observation, Jeanie. The problem then becomes, how do we feminists reach such a woman? Boy: Through coupons. Housewives love to read coupons! Ellie: Any other suggestions? Jeanie: I suppose I could just leave her a note.
