A word of explanation: This is from my law school days. “Fishlaw” was the strip I did for the University of Texas Law School Paper. This strip never made it into any of the Eyebeam collections, so it was destined for obscurity. Then I received an inquiry from the University of Louisville Law Review. They were trying to find the strip because on of their authors was quoting it in her article. I did some digging, and found it, and here it is. Thanks, University of Louisville Law Review! (Fishlaw’s character, John Dough, bears a striking resemblance to Eyebeam’s Ratliff, who didn’t go to Law School. Puzzling evidence.)

I did assume it was parallel universe Ratliff.
