And, for the record, I wouldn’t want to see “Kong: Skull Island,” either. I can’t stomach horror films, could never understand their appeal.
I’d call it more of a “Monster” flick than “Horror”, but I guess you could call the monster movie a sub-genre of horror. I also do not like horror, but I do like a good monster flick. I liked the Jack Black remake of King Kong.
Coincidentally, I just read a review of “Kong: Skull Island”, and the reviewer really liked it. He said it was much better spectacle than other recent monster movies, like “Godzilla” and “Jurassic World”. Also, he mentioned, another Godzilla movie is scheduled for 2019 and a Kong/Godzilla matchup in 2020.
When we were kids (back in the ancient 60’s) we were allowed to go places, not necessarily considered “dates”, like the movies or to play at the playground or go swimming or whatever with other kids our age without adult supervision, at least during the day. Nights were a different story – we couldn’t even be out in the yard after dark.
I watched a bit of that movie “Before I Fall” when my mom was watching it on TV. It’s actually kinda interesting, almost like the chick flick equivalent of “Groundhog Day”.

Movies are bad dates, you just sit there and stare at a screen. How do you get to know each other?

If you go to the movies with a girl expect to see a chick flick. Kong is for you and the guys!!!

“Before I Fall” is about a teenage girl reliving the day she died “Groundhog Day”-style.

My parents’ relationship was based on Mom preferring kung-fu movies over chick flicks. Thanks Chuck Norris!

Careful Nate this is a test. She is testing to see whether you want to give and take or just take.

Nate should have said, “What movie are you interested in seeing?” instead of instantly accepting.
