To zip: I came expecting to see heartless comments from some here and was not disappointed. Keep in mind that you yourself and pretty much everyone else except indigenous people were “anchor babies.” In fact, Mexicans and other Latinos with indigenous ancestry can arguably claim they have more right to be here than any purely European-descended people.
Wow, talk about animosity to those who don’t happen to agree with you! Let’s allow ALL immigrants from the world over to come here. Then see the demise of our great country.
I posted this on our church’s FB page; on Sunday we collected items for the family center near an ICE detention facility, and the sermon was about compassion for immigrant (legal or otherwise) mothers and their families.
