I always wonder about people whose predictive texts are full of profanity. Does it mean they use those words so often normally that the system has learned to offer them the shortcut?
Autocorrect is only a problem if one bothers to use it. If one just slows down a bit and knows how to spell natural typos aren’t a fraction the problem autocorrected words are.
I’m normally a good speller [not a good typist], I can leave one letter out and auto-correct will offer me choices that don’t even contain half the letters I used.

Don’t forget to change a lot of common, short words into the capitalised surnames of people I’ve never heard of.
And substitute “anchor” or “abbot” every time I use the word “about”.

Womble…
Mine gave me the choice of whether to include them..first I said no, but it was actually TOO straight laced.
So I went into settings and said OK…. just so I could use basic mild words I’d never thought it would censor.
But then worse ones got added to texts by autocorrect and I almost sent some really bad stuff without noticing…. YIKES.
That wasn’t because of my previous use whatsoever.
So I turned them off again….
and now when I WANT to use …oh….. a mild oath or an alternative word for pee that ends in ss,
sometimes it won’t let me.
About a YEAR ago I disabled autocorrect, not just profanity but completely, on my phone and my tablet….
but it WILL NOT QUIT!

Are the headphones to listen to music or to listen to the embarrassment of the texter who sent her mom, “I want beefcakes for dinner”.

“Kiss me” and “Nice catch” for the first two.
