    There is nothing in the Constitution that would prevent a judge from ordering the arrest and imprisonment of the President. It would be impractical, however, to but the President behind bars due to the Secret Service taking over the prison. The judge would more likely order a house arrest where the President would not be allowed to leave the White House. Clinton could have been arrested and tried for lying under oath but the judge chose not to, why? Probably because he is the President.An impeachment trial is not the same as a courtroom trial and its result would have no bearing on that trial.
