Toggle: You know her? B.D.: Alex Doonesbury is the daughter of my oldest friend! She's a great kid - a junior at MIT, smart as a whip, very politically involved... Toggle: Is she...she...hot? B.D.: "Hot?" I don't feel comfortable with that question, Toggle. Toggle: Okay, would...would...soldiers say she's hot? B.D.: At deployment or six months in?

And BD also gets straight to the point. Don’t know about soldiers, but in the Navy, a three-month cruise does an amazing job of upping the thermostat.

Alex is hot. Smokin’ hot, all around. She’s just out of most everyone’s league.

On the nail, baslim!
farren–yes, BD did get to the point, obliquely (Toggle’s been six months under overbearing mum, so…)

farren - after a 6 month cruise on a sub, even a MARINE looks good.

Roger, problem with Marines is that they become like the Bull Riding event at the rodeo :0/

Yet ANOTHER reason why I joined the Air Force! Typhoon evacs only lasted a few days, just long enough to “get satisfied” without falling in love (for most of us, anyway!) <:-)

JonD17 - As I consider the various possible responses to that last posting of yours, I realize that I best not even go there. ROFL!

Mike and B.D. were college roomates. I didn’t think that qualified as actual friends.

Don’t they serve saltpeter-laced bug juice on submarines? They should! BTW, they would make a really cute couple; Toggle is just the sort of non-threatening type that could melt Alex’s butter.

Alex is a Geekette. She’s O.K.
