This is perhaps the first strip in the run to feature everyone who’s been introduced thus far, really builds a sense of community.

And I like how “Ow” has been fitted with earmuffs. :)

This is gonna be loud.

Bea excels at depicting the spacial relationships between characters and their environments, as seen in Panel #1: On top of that, it’s – remarkably – not the least bit crowded!

She’s not dumb, this is just what happens to America after all these years.

Everyone should follow Ow and wear earmuffs. There is going to be a huge boom!

I’m just guessing, but I suppose in her younger days she was one of those who would give wrong answers when Jay Leno asked questions of the college kids in the streets.

Seeing Ellie and Ow together reminds me, should we all start calling him Sir Pinky Paw III bon Cuteland am Rhein now? Seeing as though he has been affirmed as being Ellie’s cat and that is the name she gave him?

Ready, aim, FIRE!!

I love fireworks…. but you hafta treat them right and not do stupid things. There was a guy up here in Grand Forks, a couple years back, that set off a mid-day M-80 (or something) and somehow blew his head right off. The neighbor said he saw the guy put something down on the road, lean over to light, neighbor turned away to do something, heard a boom, turned…saw the guy with his head blown off from his jaw-upward. You can’t get careless with the bigger pieces, and even the smaller ones can cause injury.

Oh, yeah—have a good 4th! (heh)

The real explosion is Sedine’s rage if that firecracker turns out to be a dud.

This will not end well.

I think she’ll need more than a match to get that fuse lit!

I suggest they move that wagon a little further away.

For reference, my friend’s dad recently blew up his garage and part of his house with fireworks. Don’t do that this 4th of July.
