Except GEE1A, 1929-1933 wasn’t one of the times the Dhimmicruds got it right–as the term “Bennett Buggy” used in neighbouring Canada for a broken-down car (Canada’s PM 1929-1933 was Richard Bedford aka “Viscount” Bennett) showed.

The Great Depression was not caused by either Hoover or Bennett–and I’m not even sure they could have controlled it–but both got clobbered in 1933 due to it.

I think uttering “Bwah-ha-ha” was the final ritual after AIG signed each one of those CDS deals…

Alice and Elmont could Twitter their way to creating hundreds of Tarpvilles.

Or is it “tweet?” Or “tweeter?”

Careful Elmont. Just be sure you don’t try to borrow against those tarpvilles!

To GEE1A: Sorry to come across as a pedant, but I didn’t major in English either (my mother did!).

We should all be able to use the language correctly in order to express our ideas as we want to, just as we don’t have to major in math to add and subtract, or major in political science to comment on Doonesbury.

Hey, Pras, you want respect for your ideas? Quit using “Dhimmicrud”. They aren’t crypto-Muslim zombies.

BlueRaven says: Hey, Pras, you want respect for your ideas? Quit using “Dhimmicrud”. They aren’t crypto-Muslim zombies.

Aaaah, leave Pras alone. He thinks he’s be witty and relevant. Let him have his little fantasy.

For BlueRaven and Llywus: I have to correct your ignorance, particularly about the word dhimmi. The term refers to non-Muslim “people of Book” (Christians and Jews, but loosely expanded to include Hindus who do not meet the “of Book” qualification) under tyrannical (unfortunately, most-common historically) Muslim rule–which essentially was akin to how native South Africans lived under de-facto apartheid where Muslims lived as English/Dutch in same system.

Admittedly, using the term “Dhimmicrud” for pre-1976 Democrats is inapt; after that date the following incidents show the party indeed to have dhimmi mentality: (1) Carter’s (mis)handling of Iran Hostage Crisis (2) Clinton’s giving open access to an Egyptian-born terrorist pederast (Arafat) who had been banned from entry into US by Reagan (3) 0bama’s bow (despite of his attempt at spin-doctoring, it was a bow) to Abdullah ibn Saud at G20 conference.

(and in the case of Clinton and 0bama, the second part “crud” definitely applies)

I’ll concede that post-1999 Republicans (especially Jorge Bush Jr) have only been marginally less-bad.

If Obama and his team are not careful, the ones of today will end up being called Obamavilles.
