B.D.: So have you noticed Sam is now wearing green? Boopsie: Yup. She's starting to get interested in the world. Nice, don't you think? B.D.: Absolutely. I just wish she wouldn't use Zonker as a source of information. Zonker: Of course, they could also be Irish soccer hooligans. Sam: In Iran? Really?

I can’t believe that I had to take that detour from Lio to here. Are Zonker and Sam on drugs?

Yeah, Sam’s clothes are a real nice shade of … green?!?

Yesterday it was the Arab/Persian gaffe. Today it’s the green/pink clothes gaffe. GT, are you OK?
In fourth panel, Sam’s pants look turquoise. Maybe GT drew them green and the color got changed somehow as the strip traveled through cyberspace from GT’s desk to my screen.

Just my opinion, but I don’t think yesterday was a gaffe so much as Boopsie pointing out a difference between Arab cultures and Iranian. The humor yesterday comes from Sam truly being Boopsie’s daughter and having inherited a certain amount of cluelessness.
And having Zonker for a nanny certainly is not a cure for cluelessness.
As for the green, GT doesn’t color the strips himself, the syndicate has someone else that does it. It would be nice if they actually read the strip first…..
And GEE1A, it’s spelled etc.

Relax people. Let the humor in and quit being so picky. After all, the informed Zonker continues to impress with his encylopedic(?) knowledge. Must be all those MJ cookies he bakes from time to time.

The cartoonists don’t color their own strips. They contract that out to the microcephalic copy editors’ association.

Ikstew, I think the righties are restless because Trudeau’s talking about something they can’t insult him for, so they’re turning into armchair color editors.
