Pretty sure I saw an actual stereopticon in a back room of the scariest used book store in Virginia. It was a projector with two lenses, allowing for quick alternation of images (and basic two-stage animation). The most interesting thing about the derelict device is that it didn’t use an electric light, but something combustion based.

Victrola? What is this device of which you speak? Now please, do not disrupt my stereopticon session.

Victrolas are all very well and good, but there’s a lot of great music that’s only been released on cylinders:

I’ve hired an actor to perform this comic for me and a symphony orchestra to play the background music.
