Chris Matthews: There it is again, Keith - that thrill going up my leg! Keith Olbmerman: Well, as Obama approaches the podium, it's probably going up 75,000 legs, Chris.. wait a minute... what the heck is that? Matthews: It's a skydiver, Keith! Looks like he's going to land right in the middle of the field! Boopsie: My gosh... Olberman: It's... it's Bill Clinton, Chris! Boopsie: Oh, no! Ignore him, Barack! Zonker: How?

Grok, Dude, in all honesty he knows more about politics and comic strips than you will ever know EVER !

Grok, if you don’t know how that negates your point, then it’s time for you to wrap it up and move on.
Trudeau’s always had the most astute commentary on politics, and this series is no different. Brilliant!

I dunno, I think the picture Trudeau has presented every day of the DNC this week has had at least a small possibility of happening exactly as he presented it.

Grokenstein: you do realize that Trudeau writes these 2-3 weeks in advance, right?
If you think Trudeau has an ax to grind, you must not have been reading the strip for very long.

I’ve been reading this strip since it started. Yes, he has a certain political point of view, and yes, it colors his strips. Do you read the strip just so you have something to wank about every day?
Herbabee about 16 years ago
Aye, but Garfield is the wankiest!!

Grokenstein: You’ve got a point.
But I give Trudeau credit for going out on a limb; some comics (see Prickly City this week, or Blondie last week with the Olympics) would make everything so vague that you couldn’t catch them out, no matter what happened.
(Although even then, surprises are possible. See Boondocks from 2000 November.)
