Isn’t it soooo FOX news of them to think of themselves as a personality?

    Too perfect.

There are better ways to spell it…Faux News, or replace the ‘o’ with a ‘u’.

I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for the sake of mine.

When will you people wake up?

Bill O’Reilly claims there are just as many Democrats on the Fox News team as Republicans. I doubt that can be said for any other major television news media, which is dominated almost entirely by Democrats, by their own admission.   The only way anybody can claim that Fox News “leans to the right” is for themselves to be so left-liberal until they think Che is a “centrist”.

    – Oh, I forgot to mention –   Today’s installment is actually funny.   Trudeau may be a left-wing ideologue, but he certainly can still put out the funny stuff when he wants to.

what o’reilly ‘claims’, and what the facts are have often been shown to be at odds - though, to be fair, he has been more careful since Letterman told him he thought o’r was just a ‘big gasbag’ on the air - and we know that there are just as many young, and older, dems as reps willing to compromise their principles for a steady paycheck, and the chance to get their face on national tv … which the corporate media are more than willing to exploit - and that’s what Rollie’s all about - hm - ‘Rollie’/O’Reilly … coincidence?

It’s long been known that screaming for the government to “DO SOMETHING” always gets more attention than calmly saying that there’s nothing the government is empowered to do, other than make things worse.   attention = ratings. A loud noisy “gasbag” who happens to be wrong will get more ratings than a calm “intellect” who happens to be right. We all want smooth running highways, but it’s the auto wrecks we stop and gawk at.   and that’s what Rollie’s all about - hm - ‘Rollie’/O’Reilly … coincidence?   Considering that Roland Hedley III has been a character in Doonesbury since long before O’Reilly hit the scene, I’d have to say, yes, mere coincidence. According to Wikipedia, he used to work for CNN before Fox, but he was in Doonesbury long before that hit the scene. (Geez, it seems Doonesbury has been around forever!)   Not that this means Trudeau wouldn’t capitalize on that coincidence!

    Um, reality check:

The Justice Department admitted in June that senior officials broke Federal civil service laws by screening applicants based on party ideology and loyalty.

And right-wing shill O’Reilly wants us to believe that the parent company of Fox News and the Weekly Standard is out of alignment with the current administration…riiight. Fox news has higher scruples and is more fair and balanced than the Justice Department under Alberto Gonzalez…..riiight. and the news network that obsessively ponders whether Barack Obama is A) Muslim, B) Un-American, C) Unpatriotic, D) Uses ‘terrorist’ fist-bumps, or E) Was endorsed by Colin Powell based on racism, is “Fair and Balanced”…riiight. More like “Fairly Unbalanced.”

The only laughable part is that people buy this drivel at all.

longtimecomicsfan says: The Justice Department admitted in June that senior officials broke Federal civil service laws by screening applicants based on party ideology and loyalty.   I see.   And this means – what exactly?   I’m trying to find someplace that accuses Fox News of using party affiliation in its hiring practices. Which, incidentally, is not against the law to my knowledge, since Fox is a private enterprise. Perhaps you can give us a link.     the news network that obsessively ponders whether Barack Obama is A) Muslim, B) Un-American, C) Unpatriotic, D) Uses ‘terrorist’ fist-bumps, or E) Was endorsed by Colin Powell based on racism   I believe you are confusing the Fox NEWS DEPARTMENT with the Fox COMMENTARY. There *is* a difference.   See, the problem with other networks is they no longer have a News department. It has virtually all been absorbed into their editorial opinion staff. And it is virtually all left-leaning Democrat.   Bill O’Reilly and his cronies will indeed make accusations against Democrats in general, and Obama in particular. They make no bones about their ideology. But there has never been any point in time where O’Reilly and cronies have ever made the claim to being neutral. They don’t pretend to be objective in their opinions. Just the News.   Show me where the Fox News Department has made these accusations.   Not the Justice Department – – don’t get them confused.

ALL the supposed “liberal” media stations are owned by private, right-wing corporations. ALL our news is biased and censored with a right-wing slant. FOX is simply the most extreme example.
