I grew up with the stove-top, metal basket filter, percolating coffee pot! No filters needed. I think drip coffee makers were invented to get you to purchase “parts”. Just like phones. Making the tech obsolete to force you to upgrade. But, those old style percolating pots made really, really good coffee. They are great for camping, too. And the cheery sound of the percolator makes you feel all warm & fuzzy! Good memories brought on by the strip today! I wonder if I could find one in a thrift store? Good for electrical outages.

A sheet of paper towel will do in a pinch.

Brand new panty hose will do. (I’ve never tried it but I’ve seen it done on tv…ha ha)

Tell me the zombie apocalypse has begun but don’t tell me I can’t have coffee.

I never had coffee filters on my “must have or I can’t sleep” list
