60-80% of the “TEA party” folks I’ve run into are “late comers”, and do not have a CLUE what the Constitution actually says, or what the founding fathers, or THIS country actually stand for. Now Germany in 1923-38- they’re right on board.
A small minority of the original folks were merely saying “Taxed Enough Already”– in many cases they might have been somewhat, but not proportionately to the rest of the world, standing on firm ground.
What we have now is a bigoted, cowardly, and loud-mouthed group of malcontents who don’t have the intelligence to even realize what they’re “demanding”. Thus, their candidates tend to come from the lunatic fringe, not “the right”, just the lunatics.
Hmm, checking the blog spot and the hate propaganda, I’d say no, to either the “illustrated”, or the blog’s propagandist. Democracy IS actually the ultimate “socialism”, giving true and absolute power to the people. “Socialism” is bastardized, just like “capitalism”, “republic”, “democracy”, “fascism”, “Marxism”, and “feudalism”– and mixed through a society unsure of what any of the terms mean, other than epithets they shout, not even beginning to understand their meaning.
The tea party has turned into an “Us vs. them” right wing blog, not just the folks frustrated because the wealthy might have to pay some taxes. “Us vs. Them” is the ultimate ANTI-AMERICAN perspective.
My heroes are gathering Oct. 30.
I do lament that Walter Cronkite, the most trusted man in news, is now replaced by a comedian on Comedy Central who changed his name from Liebowitz to Stewart, er, I probably should not say why he changed it.

When I think of communism I think of hiding under the desk in case of a nuclear attack so I need some updating.
