I had a boss who named all our IT systems we developed after Dilbert characters. He sent a note to Scott Adams thinking heād get a kick out of it. He got back one of those letters like Jason did.
Once a creator lets something like this pass without comment, then his art/images are no longer considered to be protected, and pretty much anyone can do whatever they like with them. Itās one of the reason why Disney plays hardball with pictures of Mickey, Donald, etc. on the walls at preschools. Sure, the school might not be doing anything too bad, but it sets a precedent that cannot go unchallenged.
