A mop on the window? Which is usually stored… in the garage?! But turns out to be… someone drying their hair?!? And people back then wouldn’t have thought any of those things was unusual? The 50s must have been an interesting place. Like kids playing in the junk yard interesting.
Yes, hanging your hair out a window to dry was very popular in the 50s. It seemed to vanish upon the invention of the hair dryer. As far as keeping a mop in the garage goes, I’m not so sure. We always kept ours in the chicken coop.
