So true! I wanted an adorable husky puppy at the shelter.. unfortunately it was too much like Kenny and my Lab looked at me like “Are you serious? I can’t take that kind of energy!” He was adopted later that afternoon, but not by us. :(

Am I the only one who remembers Floppsy, Moppsy and Cottontail?

Same can be said for kittens. We were driving through West Virginia and stopped at a rural convenience store. Girlfriend (now wife) went to pull the car out while I was paying for food & drinks, then came back in with a kitten she had nearly run over. Nobody inside the store recognized the kitten so we took it with us. We had a young ferret traveling with us so we already had kitty litter and kitten food plus the ferret’s ball made for a good kitty container. Rather than taking the kitten all the way to our destination, GF surprised me by taking it to the information desk at the next rest area. A little girl and her family latched on to the poor thing before we hit the road again.

I’m a little worried about Will, with stumpy little front legs growing out of his lower jaw in the first panel. Maybe Sadie and Mr Floppsy have set off a mutant allergic reaction in the poor dog.
