Anton: Why not choose a timeless issue for your argumentative paper... like the Confederate flag controversy? Marcus: Controversy? That flag is an archaic relic. It celebrates a heritage of hatred and oppression. Waving that flag is like saying "hi, I hate black people". Where's the controversy? I might as well write a paper about the earth being round. Besides, I don't want to offend anybody. Anton: Bigots have feelings?

The Confederate Flag is the American version of the Nazi Flag. By all means bury that relic and perhaps display it in a museum of hate as a reminder of our ugly past
