I’m grateful to my cats for them allowing me to feed them and give them shelter. I’m also grateful they let me buy them toys and treats. (Pssst, they just left the room….I can be honest now. HELP!!!!) ;)
Cats don’t particularly care what their servants do, as long as the food and water is presented punctually. If the human beasts fail at the basics the cats will simply abandon them to their sad human existences and fend for themselves, living on dew and birds.
I’m persuaded that the manner in which individual domestic cats and dogs relate to human is, in large part, a reflection of the behavior of the humans with whom they keep company.

I like the cat bed on top of the pyramid. Otherwise it could be uncomfortable.

But the pyramid is not a throne.

Cat’s view of the universe – cat on top, then humans who provide food, then everything (especially dogs) else.

It’s easy to down upon someone who has to clean up your poop.

Cats don’t have to take over the world. They already own it.

Cats remember when they were worshipped as gods, and they expect veneration from humans.

To be fair, large parts of Ancient Egypt resembled a catbox.
