Like Tebow, Colin is learning itâs best not to alienate the crowds, no matter how righteous you think you are. Football is neither a religious nor a political venue. Youâre there to win, and nothing else. Political views are for talk shows.
Problem with Afro-night is the word âAfroâ in todayâs climate.Maybe if they promoted shaving it while kneeling during the National Anthem? Most people donât know the words, cheer through the last lines, so could âBooâ for a change. You canât hear anyway due to the flyover!
Kaepernick could pitch a baseball 95 MPH in high school and was drafted by the Cubs, so he wouldnât feel out of place on a diamond. And as for fitting a âfro under a baseball cap, two words: Oscar Gamble. Google some of his images from the 70âsâŠKaepâs got nothing on Oscar.
Another cause du jour. How many other football players that followed his example are still playing? He is polarizing, but that wouldnât stop him from having a job if he won games. I just see another player that could see his skills going away doing something to garner sympathy. Remember Michael Sam?

His Afro might actually rival that of Oscar Gamble.
