I mentioned yesterday that my Friends Dad bought the ice cream truck. He also worked for Whirlpool, he was an engineer on the team that developed the freeze dried food for the NASA Gemini project (and later Apollo). Yes Whirlpool created that. I got to try some of the “space food” which most kids didn’t have an opportunity to do.
