No, Wiley’s probably poking fun at the insipid consumers of schlock tv, or us for trying to find deep rooted meaning in a comic. Its the guy in the middle; he’s the conspiracy theorist, because the dude on the cellphone is obviously a “limousine liberal.” Notice how they stand to the right, far right, of the screen writer, who by the way is impoverished due to being undervalued by the capitalist Hollywood machine.
I’ve heard that some of the best-attended movies managed not to make a penny–because there were always more “charges” to make whenever they threatened to show a profit.
RCMinor, are you talking about the strip or the commentators? If you mean the strip, yes, he alternates from being hilarious to being biting. If you’re talking about the posters, you should be reading the comic strips, not the editorials. Most of these posters take themselves too seriously. Try Brewster Rockitt, for example.
Hawaii 5-0 was uninteresting the first time around. I still watch old Bewitched, Dream of Jeannie and Cheers in the evening (Tivo season passes) and would love to see well made updates (although some updates are so poorly done they were better left undone).

Old TV, movies & comix. They’re afraid of new ideas. Non Sequitur 3D coming to a theater near you, I wish.

So help me if they revive The Partridge Family
weasel_monkey about 14 years ago
@ChukLitl Best idea EVER! I’d pay to see a Non Sequitur/Danae feature… with or without 3D.

Now, that would be fun. How about a movie based on the Eckert storyline or one on Cpt Eddie’s adventures, or…or…

And throw Giligan’s Island on the stink pile. What’s next, the Love Boat?
