He’ll never be able to resist for even a day.

Good morning, Graham Crackers! Chesney is not able to leave Annie alone for a day, never mind 3 weeks.

Baking like crazy for our 10-day stay at the cabin. Have made 2 kinds of bar cookies, and currently have a cherry pie in the oven.

I will be incommunicado from tomorrow afternoon until Monday the 14th. The Go Comics app on my phone allows me to see my comics but unfortunately, it will not allow me to either comment or view the comments. Best wishes to everyone.

There’s some people here at work I wouldn’t mind having a freeze out for too. Wildfire smoke has gotten even thicker in the Vancouver area, couldn’t even see the mountains driving in this morning. Really wish we could get some rain to help out the fire fighters and all the people under threat

With all the smoke, it is unclear (ha ha) whether the Blue Angels will be able to do their full routine this weekend. Seafair Weekend is a big deal in Seattle, with the Blues performances followed by the hydro races on Lake Washington.

It is usually Jack, C’s cohort, who delivers these messages. Bluebell….don’t get involved.

Had a panic stricken call from my Mum this morning that my Dad was in the ER having seizures. Apparently he’d been in for a pulmonary test – he has emphysema and asbestosis – and collapsed towards the end of the test unable to breathe which lead to seizures, probably from lack of oxygen. He had seizures on and off for over 2 hours before they got them to stop. His cat scan was good so no stroke but they want him to follow up with a neurologist. I don’t know why they went ahead with the test today given our poor air quality and his breathing and heart problems but it gave us all a scare Dad included. He’s home resting now but we have to keep a close eye on him while the air’s so smokey in case it happens again.

Do you live in the Northwest? I live in North Idaho and we have a lot of smoke from wildfires – probably for several more days. Sorry about your Dad – that must have been so scary. Take care of him and I hope he is better real soon.

Sorry Poppet Bear, I forgot I read you live in the Vancouver area. Yes, a lot of smoke there.

Smoky here in Everett. From the wildfires in BC and one near Darrington. Too hot!! My boss is Canadian and his family in BC have been evacuated two times from their homes and now are on a 30 min notice. Sad and scary. We should do some rain dances! Or I should get my car washed, it rains every time I do! Peace.
