Our Plugger mosquito & other flying insect patrol belongs to the group of barn swallows who take up residence in our barn each summer. When I am mowing with our zero-turn, the swallows drop down to about 18 inches off the ground like WW2 P-51’s & P-47’s on strafing runs in Europe looking for the bugs that have been stirred up by the mower. They are a blast to watch, also they dive into the deep drainage ditch next to our property about dusk, doing the same thing. They’ll be leaving soon, sometime in September. I look forward each summer to their return. Another miracle of God’s creation.
