This is blasphemy, but it seemed a little wrong to me when Peanuts went into reruns after Charles Schulz died. So I don’t know what it makes it that I still listen to The Best of Car Talk every week since Tom Magliozzi died. Which isn’t even the point I’m getting at, even though it’s probably more interesting.
No, I’m getting at how I love one of their favorite aphorisms, “It’s the stingy person who spends the most.” Because my own corollary to that axiom is “it’s the hardest worker who does it the easy way.”
Okay, I’m done with the Frogg for today. That was hard.
I knew a guy in the Navy who would put more effort into trying to get out of doing something than it would take to do it. Afterwards, he would wind up doing the job anyway.
