I’ve been teaching my son, “Say it, forget it. Write it, regret it”. Things you do online whether on camera or on social media posts can live on forever. Even if you delete it, there’s no way to delete all the screen shots that others have taken of it. That will follow you around forever.
The truth is that the people complaining about the trouble kids are getting into with smart phones probably have done similar things, or worse, in their past. There just wasn’t anyone around able to capture it on a small, handheld device.

I wish that digital cameras had been invented 20 years earlier. Would have saved a ton on film developing.

The same goes for social media. Myspace was the only popular site when I was still in high school. Who even remembers that one?
