It was not unheard of for knights to be riveted into their armour, after which they’d fight until the battle was over. Some knights’ armour would be dented enough that they couldn’t get it off without tin snips. Or the medieval equivalent.
And if they cannot get the armour off… well, you figure it out.
Makes me wonder what modern forces do when the call arises in the middle of a firefight.
