I used to have a sign up in my office that read “THIMK” in something like a 72 point font so it would occupy one page. The only comment I got was from one person who did not get it and said so.
I usually check for late additions to "yesterday"’s forums (still today to me right now) and read some of the new strips before I jump in.
But hey…. it doesn’t mean I don’t keep my eyes on you!
Speaking of yesterday’s comments….
I know a lot of people started coming to Ballard Street after the site changed…
so for those who don’t know…
The Tiki Bar belongs to my pal Sheriff MonkeyBlues …who usually spells it MunkyBluz, but it can vary … and who runs it in the daytime when he can.
When he was elected Sheriff of Ballard County, he hired more help in the daytime and also named me the night manager, though he and I sort of split the cooking and I help tend bar.
The real night bartender is a tall, handsome boxer (dog, not pugilist) named Fenton…
the best bartender ever.
He’s off on Tuesday and Thursday nights, when we have a whole team of “little monkeys” tending bar. They’re very tiny so please be patient with them.

I’m here! I’m here!
Been here for quite a while, in fact….
but I don’t usually rush to comment.

BTW… they wear bow ties because they want to be like Fenton….
But they insist on red ones… and they don’t like anything around their necks.

Well, X … it’s not a specific item in the dress code…..
after all, the owner is a monkey.
But when I feel like dressing up, I wear a glittery red one….

(In that pic I’m also wearing the daiquiri-grinder hat that StelBel made me)
BTW, we do have a height requirement for the little monkeys…..

After all, it already takes two, sometimes, to serve a banana dak.

ANYway…..
I started posting all this because last night, mention was made of yak products….
and I wanted to let you know…
the Tiki Bar has always featured yak meat,
raised especially for the Monkey, in far away Turdmunkestan, and brought back by him personally.
We’re known for our giant barbecued yak ribs, smoked by the Monkey himself in our outdoor smoker, which only he and I are allowed to run….
and we also serve a full line of yak steaks, stews, yakburgers, etc…. plus yak bacon, sausage, even yak cheese, and yakdogs.
Sorry… no yak wings…. or eggs.
