Yeah, but calculus is more useful! And it isn’t all that hard.

That really depends on what subject you are taking BigCheif Desoto.

Ever heard of triple integration with cos and sinus? :p

I don’t know I always found the skill to put a bullet into the head of someone at 300m a pretty useful skill ;)

It depends if you have the temperment for it. Not everyone can do calculus math.

Yes, it is really fun :) The problem truns up when you try to do it over spherical coordinates and other oddities :)

College teaches you to be a good employee, it does not teach you to think.

a decision that would be regretted when you find out you are to be mandated to multiple tours into war zones where people are trying their very best to kill you

Some of the most innovative, successful and clever, if not brilliant, people/employees that I have known in my 35 years working were veterans. Like Cold9033 said, It all depends on if you have the temperament for it AND also what you do with it. I took all the college math you could take including 3 years of calculus and differential equations but have not really used it and, hence, cannot remember how to do much of it.

Okay, that’s the funniest thing I’ve read today, including all the comics.

Oh, and I have eight years of college, so I’m not just throwing that out there. The clones that come out of our fine institutions are laughable. Political correctness has ruined a generation.

Not all college degrees require calculus. I took it in high school, but as a language major, I didn’t take it in college. There were lots of math courses to choose from, most of which did not involve calculus.

I have never taken a single calculus course, high school or college and I have my MS.

I took calculus in high school, and again in college. I was never able to differentiate between the two classes.

JP Steve, both of them were integrated, one with different peoples and the other with statistics and probability :-)

You guys act as if it is impossible to be good at calculus and be a Marine, I’ll have you know that the people who defend your freedom to bash them in comment pages like this are intelligent and deserve our respect.
