90 year old mom lives in Charlottesville and we were visiting her just before the Nazis started to gather. I sat at a traffic light, for example, behind a pickup with NC plates that had a Confederate battle flag decal in the rear window and a bumper sticker stating: “Don’t honk again, I’m reloading.”
My wife and I avoided town Saturday morning as we left for the Outer Banks, bypassing it on I-64. I wasn’t tempted in any way to join the crowd. However, if I had been there with the armed KKK and nazis in full battle gear, I would have been very gratified to have seen someone willing to protect me from an armed right wing mob. Remember it was poor pathetic mentally ill trump that called for a “second amendment solution” and offered to pay the legal expenses for beating up protesters at his narcissistic rallies. Anyone who supports trump is culpable in the con violence taking place.
I don’t agree with the apparent antifa offensive violence, though they did protect those opposing the fascists. Remember the best available evidence shows there are millions of armed Nazis and KKK types in this country and a very small handful of antifa people. That’s what the evidence shows regardless of the con propaganda on Fox, National Enquirer, Drudge and Breitbart.
Imagine anyone having to explain that the National Enquirer is an unreliable news source, Sheesh, lies travel halfway across the world before the truth has time to get out of bed.

Joseph Goebbels would be proud of the antifa and angry progressives. repeat a lie often enough and the people will accept it as the truth. and it was Winston Churchill who said: the fascists of the future will call themselves anti fascist. you liberals remember Churchill or have you rewritten that history too?

Well, not entirely. White supremacists have killed dozens of Americans over the years while I do not believe ANTIFA is responsible for any deaths.
