@stipple…not even close. Russia will always be a third-rate country. They are as close to a Mafia state as one can be. Their population is declining. Their men die in their mid-50’s. Their economy is based almost entirely on hydrocarbon extraction. They are playing the US citizenry for fools, of course, but since anyone who voted for trump is an ignorant fool, that’s par for the course.
