    Bad news, everyone ā€¦

    My local ā€œOpen 24 Hours A Dayā€ Walmart is no longer open 24 hours a day. :(

Not sure when that happened, only that it did.

Some cereals have very limited regional distribution, but still kinda/sorta exist.

Somewhere out there is a box of ā€˜Quispā€™ with my name on it. ;)

    ā€œFunky Podunkisā€ are probably roughly analogous to ā€œFreakiesā€ ā€¦

ā€¦ though they remind me of SNLā€™s ā€œLittle Chocolate Donutsā€ as well:

Years ago, there used to exist a fanzine for cereal fandom, called ā€“ Wait for it ā€“ ā€˜Flake.ā€™

    http://2.bp.blogspot.com/f_vuJiN9ZO8/RoyB4v550PI/AAAAAAAAAKE/995aMRXMpI/s320/FlakeMagazine15.jpg

Not sure how many issues were produced, though I recall at one point having one with a lengthy article on the ā€œFreeze-Dried add-insā€ fad of the early 1960ā€™s.

Wait a minute, I thought she hated sugary things, figured sheā€™d be the type who likes jalapeƱo omelets in the morning. Unless she doesnā€™t plan to eat it, she plans to sell it. Or at least bring it back with her as the mascot, Iā€™d buy it, even if she wants it to be paprika flavored! Iā€™m willing to burn my tounge for your characters Bea! XD

Do they still put ā€œPrizesā€ in cereal boxes?

Yes, itā€™s been that long since Iā€™ve bought a full-sized box.

There are quite a few articles about cereal box collecting online, this one is a decent enough place to start ā€¦

Reminds me of the Buddy comic strip series I want to do where she and her friends take a road trip to Canada to purchase a box of Crunchy Cow, her favorite breakfast cereal from when she was a kid. P.S. I once draw Buddy eating from a box of Frosted Sugar Clumps. Now thatā€™s a tad too sugary!
