Back when I was still teaching, I dreaded “back to school” not because I didn’t like teaching but because my classroom was on the second floor, facing south which meant facing the playground, and did not have air conditioning. Now that I’m tired, I can’t wait for “back to school” because it means the noisy neighbor kids are back on the playground where they belong and my house does have air conditioning.
