Who really needs a cycling license?

I’ve not heard of a jurisdiction that requires them, but don’t doubt one exists. I do know it is not uncommon for local police forces to arrest drunks driving their riding mowers on the street for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

It’s against the law to ride on the sidewalks. Get the kid out in traffic.

In many towns it is illegal to ride a bicycle on the sidewalk! I and my kids learned to ride in the street – quiet residential streets.

Technically, this is not a fib. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that I don’t believe the kid has a driver’s license.
