See, even discussing gun violence is tantamount to confiscation of all guns. Obviously, it cannot be discussed.

Or studied.

Or statistics collected.

Or reporting.

Or analysis.

Because any of that will inevitably lead to confiscation of all guns.

Hey George, how about Indiana? Sheesh. You think Chicago can pass restrictions on guns and people won’t cross a nearby state line to get their guns. How blind does one have to be to deny THAT particular fact?

Gun violence can always be discussed, gun control is another topic

The actual rate is down and the majority of gun violence occurs in a few cities, all of which have strict gun laws.

The gun nuts are out in force today with the same old tired tropes!

Hey, do any of you have any bright ideas how to at least slow down the increasing numbers of random MASS murders like in Vegas?

The radicals on both sides of the argument are the ones who dominate the news. When you can remove the ILLEGAL guns you will cure the problem, but don’t try to remove our right to protect ourselves. The media is quick to report the failures of that protection, but rarely reports the successes.

The entire problem is “democrats with guns.” Red areas have no gun problems. If we define “voting democrat” as a mental deficiency, we could then prohibit sale of guns to them, cut the murder rate by 90%.

I honestly believe that people are fixating on the guns far too much. The problem is not the guns, it is the violently crazy people USING the guns. I don’t own a gun, I don’t feel a need to own a gun. But I most certainly don’t support people trying to take away the Constitutional right to own a gun.

There was a reasonable discussion on guns. 1787 in Philadelphia. It was called “The Constitutional Convention”.

The 2nd Amendment only deals in Military Style weapons for militias only. Not squirrel and bear hunting weapons. The Libertarians came up with the idea that gun ownership is to “protect The People from their govt” meme.
