    Well that’s our morning. Check the thistle feeder, check the suet cake feeder, check the peanut feeder, check the squirrel proof feeder, fill the other feeders with sunflower oilers! And, are we rewarded for all this? You bet we are.

    My pittie boy looked so shocked when he watched me fill the bird feeders and put out peanuts for the squirrels yesterday. Not sure if he was shocked that I took my sister’s “job” or if it was the fact that I was feeding what he tries so hard to “protect” the yard from…

    Where I live we have bears and other wildlife. Bears will raid birdfeeders. As hard as you try to hang those things the bears find a way to get to it—even if it means clinging to wire and inching their way and stretching wide!

    Please…..peanuts are NOT good for squirrels! Peanuts are very hard for squirrels to digest. Buy a bag of mixed nuts in the shell or up here in the PNW we can get “ground harvested” nuts. But NO peanuts!
